A shame that Lucasfilm didn’t keep to their intentions for that “one consistent narrative” in their statement. Or let the Legends stories and other planned projects from the time simply continue. It could have made for some interesting times, and maybe even better quality stories for both canon and legends.
The series is cool and loved playing the DF/JK games, but I do wish there were more Star Wars games that were just dedicated First Person Shooters. I was kind of hoping that I’d just missed or forgot about any other FPS Star Wars games?

Is the original Dark Forces, and the Republic Commando game, the only dedicated first person shooters in Star Wars? I don’t really count the Battlefront games (they have have the 3rd person and ship & vehicle perspectives).

I really thought there would be more, and so disappointing that Respawn have stopped work on their FPS game.
This is awesome, and what really hits the spot is reading through the ‘Our love of the Original Trilogy - seeing them for the first time - and wanting others to be able to experience them’ section.
I’ve been making my way through some of the other Index threads, but this is one I’ve been looking forward to, mainly for the “The Star Wars Universe: OT & EU - Life & Lore before the Prequels”, canon, and discrepancies content.

Nice thread! I’ve played the game but never read the books. I’ve seen online debates about them, but I think I’ll pick up the first book and see for myself.

Squadrons ?
A bit too like a flight simulator for me, like the old X-Wing & TIE Fighter games, but all were still fun. I prefer the more arcade feel of RS games, or anything a bit like the Battle Pod or SW Arcade.
Maybe if the Rogue Squadron film or series ever happens we’ll also see a tie-in game?
I love some of the older sets and vehicles, but they are very much overpriced. The MOC videos give some nice ideas for those of us on a budget or limited space.
